Chalkin' Up Central Square Planned For July 17

LOCKPORT, IL — Young artists can head to Chalkin' Up Central Square on July 17 to show off their creativity and chalk masterpieces, according to the City of Lockport.

Artist Kevin Traynor will be at the event, which will be held during Cruisin' Into Lockport, to assist young artists.

Chalk art will be judged by age group and winners will be announced no later than 8 p.m. on July 17. Artists can begin at 4 p.m., and should be finished by 7 p.m.

Artists ages 5 and older are welcome, the City said. Registration is required, and walk-ups will be allowed if space is available.
