Chipotle, Mod Pizza Opening In Lockport

Both eateries should be open by Thanksgiving 2019.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport residents will soon have two new options when going out to eat. The city announced that Chipotle and Mod Pizza will both be opening at Lockport Square, on 159th Street west of I-355.

City administration Ben Benson said construction is now underway on a four-tenant building. Chipotle and Mod Pizza will be two of those tenants, with two others yet to be determined. According to the city, both eateries should be open by Thanksgiving 2019.

Chipotle is a Mexican grill which offers guacamole, burritos, vegan bowls and more. The nearest locations are in Romeoville, Joliet and Homer Glen.

Mod Pizza offers individual artisan-style pizzas as well as salads. There are also locations in Bolingbrook and New Lenox.
