Comicopolis Returns In July, Brings Artists, Vendors To Lockport

LOCKPORT, IL — The fandom convention, Comicopolis, will return to Lockport on July 29. The free event attracted over 1,300 attendees last year, and features over 60 artists, writers and specialty vendors, according to the City website.

The event is held both inside and outside the White Oak Library District-Lockport branch, 121 E. Eighth St. Comicopolis is a partnership between the library and Lockport's Summer Art Series.

Fans of various books, movies and TV shows can enjoy the Chicago Game and Go Trailer, the Delorean Time Machine and Jurassic Park Jeep. There is also a cosplay costume contest, face painting, photo booth, live music and demonstrations.
