HOMER GLEN, IL — Increasing class sizes and enrollment is an issue many school districts across the area are facing, and District 33C is no different. Several parents have spoken out about the increasing class sizes at District 33C board meetings over the last few months, and the district will now create a plan to address future growth.

According to board documents from the Oct. 22 District 33C board of education meeting, Superintendent Craig Schoppe met again with members from the Joliet Diocese and St. Bernard's Church about their interest in acquiring Goodings Grove School as a possible community center for kids.

"He is still in the process of gathering details, but we need to do our due diligence to study this as a possible option to address our increasing enrollment throughout the district," the district said in a summary of the board meeting.
