D91, D92 Consider Joint Feasibility Study

District 91 will vote on the study at its March 10 meeting, while District 92 will decide at its March 17 meeting.

LOCKPORT, IL — Will County School District 92 and Milne-Kelvin Grove District 91 are both considering a joint feasibility study for district reorganization. District 91 will vote on the study at its March 10 meeting, while District 92 will decide at its March 17 meeting.

According to board documents from District 91, the cost of the study is $15,000. D91 would pay $643 after reimbursement from the Illinois State Board of Education.

The feasibility study will cover several topics, including: transportation, enrollment, staffing, facilities, finance, curriculum and extracurricular activities.

If approved, District 92 said the study will be conducted by Dr. William H. Phillips, Midwest School Consultants. The study will be concluded by June 30, and when it is done, it will be presented to both boards at a joint public meeting.
