Deadline Approaching For Lockport's Property Recognition Contest

LOCKPORT, IL — The deadline for the City of Lockport's property recognition contest for winter 2021 is quickly approaching. The contest is held for each season, and residents can apply for the winter contest until Dec. 23, according to the city website.

The contest is hosted by the Lockport Beautification Committee, and invites all residents to show the landscape and outside decor of their home during the winter.

The winter 2021 award recipients will be recognized at the committee of the whole meeting on Jan. 5. Winners are notified by the end of each deadline period, the city said.
