What does the nominee do for work?:
Renea is an Advanced Practice Nurse in heart failure
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Renea is an APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) in a heart failure unit at her hospital. She answered the call when the hospital needed staff for the ICU/Covid unit for a temporary assignment, which is where she is working currently. At first it created anxiety and fear, because it was a new place, new staff, and new area of medicine. But she is taking on the challenge, hoping to make a difference for others. Renea is also attending school and will receive her Doctorate in Nursing degree in a few months. She dedicates herself to her patients, their families and her team. Her love of helping others has always been her passion. She is our Hero, every day. She is humbled by the outpouring of love and support for our first responders.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Renea is highly dedicated and always an advocate for her patients. She is kind, smart and genuine.
Thank you, Renea!
