District 33C Staff Member Tests Positive, 1 Awaiting Results
The staff members and the several other employees who had close contact will be teaching remotely, the district said.
HOMER GLEN, IL — One staff member at Homer District 33C has tested positive for the coronavirus and another is awaiting results, Superintendent Craig Schoppe said in a letter to the community.
According to Schoppe, a staff member at Butler and a staff member at Homer Junior High started experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms over the weekend. One employee has received a positive result, while the other is still a possible case.
"While neither were at school today and no students have been exposed, they did have close contact with several staff members last week during our institute days," Schoppe wrote to the community. "These two staff members and the several others who had close contact will be teaching remotely and will not be reporting to work until cleared to do so."
