Escape Room Opens In Homer Glen

Groups have an hour to explore the room which is decorated to replicate a stateroom on the Titanic.

HOMER GLEN, IL — If you love doing escape rooms, you may enjoy Homer Glen's newest business. We Escape has just opened in Homer Glen at 15738 S. Bell Road, and offers a Titanic themed room for escape room enthusiasts.

Co-owner Jason Ouimette owns the business along with his mom Eileen, brother Jeremy and sister Amanda.

Ouimette said eventually the business will have three total rooms available, but for now they have opened with the Titanic room while the other two rooms are built out.

The Titanic room is recommended for up to eight people ages 12 and up. The room is an hour-long experience, and groups have an hour to explore the room which is decorated to replicate a stateroom on the Titanic. Groups must solve the mystery in the stateroom and escape with life jackets before the ship sinks.

Reservations are required to book an escape room experience. We Escape offers evening hours during the week and weekend hours as well.

"You also don't need a big group to set up a time, everyone can feel free to come in smaller groups or as individuals to enjoy our themed experience," Ouimette said. "It's a lot of fun!"

The family plans to open a birthday-themed room later this summer, which will be available for younger kids and for group birthdays. The last room to open will be a puzzle master room, which is a smaller room for up to four people.

Ouimette said the family chose to open in Homer Glen since they grew up there and still live there.

"Being from Homer we wanted to bring the community good family fun that we felt was missing from the town," Ouimette said. "As a family we have done more than a handful of great escape rooms around the suburbs, and thought we could bring that same fun right to Homer Glen for the families in the area to enjoy."
