Gallery Seven Finds New Home In Lockport

Gallery Seven will be located within the Gaylord Building in Lockport.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport will have a new art gallery with the addition of Gallery Seven to the Gaylord Building. The gallery was previously located in Joliet next to the Rialto Square Theatre, but the business was evicted from their rent-free space after the current property owners notified them they were to leave by Dec. 11.

Now, the gallery has a new home in Lockport, and will join the town's artistic attractions like the Lockport Artists Guild, Flower of Life Art Gallery and more. According to the city, the Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau and Gallery Seven signed the lease with the Gaylord Building to occupy the second floor exhibit space.

The arrival of Gallery Seven is also coinciding with the Gaylord Building's development of the National Endowment for the Arts funded program, unLOCK: Merging Art and Industry in Downtown Lockport.
