LOCKPORT, IL — Gallery Seven will host the fourth in a series of outdoor “First Friday” events on Sept. 7, between 7 and 9 p.m. The events are for all ages and will be held at the Lincoln Landing in Lockport, along the Illinois and Michigan Canal between Eighth and Ninth streets.

The events, called “Friday in the Park with Abe,” have an Abraham Lincoln theme honoring the history of the landing and Illinois’ bicentennial year, according to the city. Various musical performances will be featured for each Friday. Sept. 7 will feature the students from “The School of Rock”

The city said audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, their own picnic foods, and nonalcoholic beverages. Smokin’ Z BBQ will have their food truck parked nearby and the Public Landing restaurant will be open including an open-air bar.
