A stargazing event in Homer Glen has been cancelled.

HOMER GLEN, IL — UPDATE: The stargazing event planned for Friday evening in Homer Glen has been cancelled due to cloud cover.

Get ready to go stargazing in Homer Glen. A stargazing event will be held on May 11 at the Trantina Farm in Homer Glen, and several experts will be on hand to help. According to the village, the Kankakee Area Stargazers, Naperville Astronomical Association, and the South West Astronomy Observers Group will provide large telescopes for viewing the night sky.

You can stargaze from 9 to 11 p.m. at the farm. Telescopes will be able to view Jupiter, M3, M5 and M13 globular clusters, the village said. The constellations of Leo, Gemini, Virgo, Bootes, Ursa Major and Hercules will also be visible in the night sky.
Trantina Farm is located at 15744 W. 151st St.
