HOMER GLEN, IL — The Magic Skies fireworks show "Symphony of Lights" planned for Thursday night at Homer Community Festival has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 24 at 9:30 p.m. The carnival will also be closed Thursday due to the rain and ground conditions.

The bands are still scheduled to perform, and the beer tent will be open.

The village said the 30-minute, choreographed fireworks display takes a full day to set up. Once everything is set the show must go on or be cancelled. According to the village, due to the significant rain in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, the Parade and Festival Committee for the Homer Community Festival has rescheduled the fireworks show for Sunday.
