Homer Glen Aldi Reopens After Renovations, Updates

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Homer Glen Aldi store, located at 14245 S. Greystone Drive, has reopened after being closed for several weeks for remodeling and renovations. The store held a grand reopening and ribbon cutting on June 20.

According to a release from Aldi, the Homer Glen store is part of a $1.9 billion Aldi investment to remodel and expand more than 1,300 stores nationwide by the end of 2020. Locally, Aldi is investing $180 million to update more than 130 stores in Chicago and the Chicagoland area by the end of 2020.

The new store layout at the Homer Glen Aldi features expansive refrigeration space to accommodate some fresh, healthy and convenient products. According to the business, Aldi also recently expanded its product offerings, making 20 percent of its total selection new. Aldi stores also feature open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials.

The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

“The updated ALDI store layout has even more to offer shoppers. Stores are easier to navigate and have more space for the products people love the most,” Heather Moore, Dwight division vice president, said in a release. “We can’t wait to show our customers in Homer Glen their newly remodeled store, and continue providing the affordable, high-quality foods we know they love at ALDI.”
