Homer Glen Approves $186K Budget For 2021 HomerFest

HOMER GLEN, IL — Although the 2020 Homer Community Festival may have been canceled due to the coronavirus, the Village is already planning the 2021 HomerFest.

At its meeting on Dec. 9, the Village Board approved a $186,800 budget for the 2021 fest. According to board documents, the most recent festival in 2019 had expenses total $148,837.40 and brought in revenues of $161,544.

Board documents state the budget increases include $14,000 spent on features like the Lima Lima flight team flyover and promotional items to celebrate Homer Glen's 20th anniversary.
