Homer Glen Approves $2.5M Sanitary Sewer Line Project
The project will extend the existing sewer line to unserved parcels along Cedar Road and 159th Street.
HOMER GLEN, IL — At its meeting on Wednesday, the Homer Glen Village Board approved a construction bid to move forward its Cedar Road Fiddyment Creek sanitary sewer extension project.
The construction bid, for $2,591,009.72, is from Austin Tyler Construction.
According to Board documents, the Village will be extending its existing Fiddyment Creek sanitary sewer trunk line to provide service to unserved vacant properties along Cedar Road and 159th Street.

The project will also receive $500,000 in American Recover and Reinvestment Act grant funding.
This extension will also "assist in providing new users for the Village's planned wastewater treatment plant," Board documents state.

Trustee Rose Reynders said the Village has been planning this for quite some time.
