Homer Glen To Ask Voters About Part-Time Police Department
The advisory question will ask voters about the exploration of a feasibility study to create a part-time police department for Homer Glen.
HOMER GLEN, IL — At its Wednesday board meeting, the Homer Glen approved a resolution to place an advisory question on the April 4 ballot concerning the exploration of a feasibility study to create a part-time police department for Homer Glen.
The question voters will see is: "Shall the Village Board pursue exploring a feasibility study to create and maintain a part-time police department within the Village of Homer Glen?"
"In all actuality, it's just a question asking if people want us to conduct the feasibility study for additional support," Trustee Jennifer Consolino said.
