Homer Glen Chalk Art Contest: Register Here

HOMER GLEN, IL — Homer Glen is hosting a free sidewalk chalk art contest with prizes, music, games and more. The contest, held Saturday, Aug. 3, starts at 9 a.m. at 16000 S. Stonebridge Dr.

Each participant — all ages are welcome — will get one pack of chalk and given a work space.

They recommend bringing a towel, hat, sunscreen, water and a snack.

Participants who really want to show their stuff can bring extra chalk, chalk pastels and blending tools. No paint is allowed.

Participants can have one helper in the same age group, which are: 6 and under, 7 to 10, 11 to 15 and 16 and over.

There will be prizes for three categories: Best Use of Color, Most Interesting Characters and Most Creative Theme.

Registration is required for the chalk art contest.
