Homer Glen Collecting Valentines For Veterans, Seniors
Residents can create their own Valentine's Day cards to give, and drop off at Village Hall through Feb. 10.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen is collecting Valentines for veterans and seniors through Feb. 10.
Residents can create their own Valentine's Day cards to give, and drop off at Village Hall during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the Village Facebook.
There are over 130 veterans and dozens of seniors who will receive the cards, the Village said on its Facebook page. Collection for the cards began last month and will continue through Feb. 10.

The Village has several upcoming special events planned for 2023, including a spring food drive planned for April 3 to April 13, according to the Village website. Donations will go to the Lockport Food Pantry.
