Homer Glen Garbage Collection Stopped Wednesday Due To Weather

Homewood Disposal will begin service again on Thursday, the Village said.

HOMER GLEN, IL — As snow continues to fall on Wednesday, Homewood Disposal has stopped operations for garbage and recycling pick-up, according to the Village of Homer Glen.

Homewood Disposal will begin service again on Thursday, the Village said. If you have pick-up normally scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, Homewood Disposal will be coming to serve your location this week.

Service will be caught up by the end of the day on Saturday, according to the Village.

Many area schools and services were also closed on Wednesday. Homer District 33C, Lockport Township High School District 205, and Milne-Kelvin Grove District 91 all implemented e-learning days on Wednesday. Taft School District 90 is closed Wednesday.

The Homer Township Public Library is also closed on Wednesday.
