Homer Glen Halloween Events: Scarecrow Walk, Spooky Park

Residents can enjoy spooky decorations at Heritage Park throughout October.

HOMER GLEN, IL — September may have just started, but spooks and scares are just a few short weeks away.

In Homer Glen, the Village shared it has quite a few Halloween events planned during the month of October.

According to the Village newsletter, residents can enjoy Spooky Park at Heritage Park, a Scarecrow Walk and a trunk or treat event at Heritage Park during the month of October.

From Oct. 2 to Oct. 21, residents can visit Heritage Park to spot bats, spiders and ghosts. The park will be decorated for the month of October.

Also at the park, residents can walk along Heritage Circle for the Scarecrow Walk from Oct. 8 to Oct. 30. You can vote for your favorite scarecrow, and three winners will be chosen.

Last up is trunk or treat at Heritage Park on Oct. 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. Families can drop by for a free afternoon of trick-or-treating from candy-filled vehicle trunks. If you'd like to hand out candy, you must register on the Village website. If you'd like to trick-or-treat, then no registration is required.
