Homer Glen Hires New Village Manager

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Homer Glen village board recently approved the hiring of Karie Friling as the new village manager. The employment agreement was approved at the Feb. 27 village board meeting, and Friling will begin on April 1, the village said.

Friling was the assistant village manager/director of development services with the village of Orland Park. The village said she has 24 years of experience in local government.

"Her background in development, familiarity with the area, and experience working with IDOT on the Orland Park section of 159th Street will be a great asset to the village," the village said.
