Homer Glen Launches Commercial Building Improvement Grant Program

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen has announced a new business assistance program as part of its efforts to support local business and inspire economic growth, a news release states.
The commercial building improvement grant program was approved Sept. 22 by the Village Board, and will reimburse up to 50 percent of approved costs with a maximum grant award of $10,000, according to the village.
The purpose of the program is to mitigate financial challenges with building improvements to facades, signs, life safety, accessibility and utilities, the village said.

Commercial building owners, existing business tenants and new businesses with eligible projects are invited to apply for the program. Assistance will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis, based on fund availability, the village said.
