Homer Glen Now Using Simplicity App For Village Communications
The app will be used to communicate village announcements, events, road closures, power outages and more.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen will now use the mobile app Simplicity as an official channel for city-to-resident communication, according to a release from the Village.
The app will be used to communicate village announcements, events, road closures, power outages and more.
Amy Blank, the Village’s Communication Coordinator, is excited for the Village to be providing
this communication option to the residents of Homer Glen.

“Simplicity is similar to social media apps – in that it has a scrolling news feed of informative posts, events, and updates. However, unlike many of the social apps that are out there, Simplicity does not allow community comments on posts. This means that our residents will receive trusted information without community chatter.”
The app is free and available on iOS and Android, the Village said. Each resident also has the option to adjust notification preferences based on their personal interests.
