Homer Glen Plans Grand Opening Of Active Core At Heritage Park

HOMER GLEN, IL — After months of planning and construction, the village of Homer Glen will celebrate the grand opening of the Active Core at Heritage Park on Sept. 14. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park, located at 14240 W. 151st Street.

The village said guests can come explore the new park at this free event. There will be games, crafts, a scavenger hunt and more. Guests will be able try out the new sports courts and game area with gaming supplies from the village.

Teens and adults can also try their hand at the new Challenge Course. There will also be live music by "Pan Chicago." Food will be available for purchase, and the village will provide a sweet treat.
