Homer Glen Plans Movie Under The Stars

HOMER GLEN, IL — For the movie under the stars event on Friday, "The Goonies" will be shown, starting at dusk. The event is presented by the Dan Kenney Group and the Village of Homer Glen.

The outdoor showing will be held at Heritage Park, 14240 W. 151st St., in the open lawn area near the active core. You can come as early as 7:30 p.m. to enjoy the event, but the movie will begin when it gets dark.

According to the Village, there will be food trucks from Joey's Red Hots and Creamery at the event. Participants can bring bug spray, lawn chairs, blankets and food for the event. Alcohol is prohibited.

The last movie under the star event will be held Aug. 13, with a showing of "Coco."
