Homer Glen Trustee To Compete At Mrs. World

Nicole La Ha Zwiercan will compete at Mrs. World after her win at Mrs. America last month.

HOMER GLEN, IL — After her win last month at Mrs. America, Homer Glen resident Nicole La Ha Zwiercan will compete at Mrs. World in December.

La Ha Zwiercan, who is a Trustee for the Village of Homer Glen, traveled to the Mrs. America competition in Las Vegas to compete against other state title-holders from the 50 states and Washington D.C.

La Ha Zwiercan said the competition included a week of activities, including social activities and judged interviews.

"My cause is promoting community inclusivity," La Ha Zwiercan said.

La Ha Zwiercan said her worlds have collided, as she also promotes community accessibility as a Village Trustee and serves on the Village's Ability Awareness Committee.

"I get to promote that same message," she told Patch.

La Ha Zwiercan is the second Mrs. America for the state of Illinois.

"This is such an honor," she said, adding that it's a nice platform to create change.

La Ha Zwiercan will return to Las Vegas to compete in Mrs. World from Dec. 10-17.
