The Village said three new large-scale light sculptures have been added to the display this year.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Homer for the Holidays will not only feature the lighting of Heritage Park for the holiday season, but attendees can also expect Santa's arrival on a fire truck, live music, and an ice sculpting demonstration at the event on Dec. 4.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Park, 14240 W. 151st St. The Village said three new large-scale light sculptures have been added to the display this year.
The kick-off event will include Christmas carols sung by the choir students at Oak Prairie Junior High School and Homer Junior High School, the Village said. Mayor George Yukich will welcome Santa's arrival on a fire truck provided by the Homer Township Fire Protection District, and the two will light the park for the season, according to the Village.
