Homer For The Holidays: Tree Lighting, Market, Photos With Santa
It is free admission for the event, which will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Dec. 4.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Homer Glen will kick off the holiday season on Sunday with its annual Homer for the Holidays event at Village Hall and Heritage Park.
It is free admission for the event, which will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Dec. 4.
Guests can enjoy photos with Santa, holiday crafts, ice sculptures, a Kris Kringle market, the annual tree lighting ceremony, refreshments, food trucks and live music, according to the Village Facebook page.

Schedule of events includes:
- Noon to 2 p.m., holiday crafts, cocoa and pictures with Santa in the community room
- 2 to 8 p.m., Kris Kringle Market at Heritage Park
- 5 p.m., tree lighting ceremony at Heritage Park
- 5 to 8 p.m., visit with Christmas characters throughout Heritage Park
- 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., ice sculpting in Heritage Park
There will also be a Letters to Santa mailbox in the park, where kids can mail letters. The holiday lights display in the park will run nightly until Jan. 2.
