Homer Township clarifying false statements once again
The Homer Township Website has the Geotechnical Report which was developed for the site where the clay is coming from for Trantina Farm. This was done for the construction contract which M&J is taking clay from. In addition, there is a statement from M&J Underground as to the nature of the fill being excavated and delivered to Trantina Farm.

Obviously with this borrow area being a residential subdivision there are no existing hazardous materials, and the borings further accentuate that.
This is being sent in response to recent false statements and conjecture by the various people to discredit Homer Township. It was brought up by Trustee Sue Steilen at a Village of Homer Glen Council meeting. This constant lying to taxpayers about this and other subjects needs to stop.

As an additional check and balance step, Road Commissioner Brent Porfilio will be taking soil borings of the clay fill at Trantina Farm when the clay fill being delivered is roughly half way complete in the next few weeks, and providing those test results to all of you as well.
Please note that random field tests are also being taken of the clay fill as mentioned previously and no hazardous materials or non-clean clay fill has been detected.
