Homer Township Extends Summer Food Drive

HOMER GLEN, IL — Homer Township has extended its summer food drive to accept donations on Saturday and Sunday, according to the township.

The U-Haul truck which was parked in front of the township will move to the Meijer in Homer Glen, 14169 S. Bell Road. The truck will be parked between the two store entrances and will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Non-perishable items accepted include dry goods, canned goods (no green beans), snack food, paper towels, toothpaste, toilet paper and deodorant.
