Homewood Disposal Asks Homer Glen Residents To Properly Dispose Trash After Recent Fires

HOMER GLEN, IL — After "several recent fires", Homewood Disposal Service is asking Homer Glen residents to properly dispose hazardous material, according to a post on the Village Facebook.
"Disposing flammable materials in your curbside garbage cart can cause serious injury and damage," the Village said on its Facebook.

The Village shared that the driver followed safety procedures and emptied the material onto the street, so the fire department could easily access it.
Aerosol cans, tiki torches, batteries, pool chemicals, and other flammable material do not belong in your garbage or recycling cart, according to the Village's Facebook post.
