Inaugural PetFest Planned In Homer Glen

The inaugural fest will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on June 17 at Town Center Park, 14354 W. 151st St.

HOMER GLEN, IL — The first annual PetFest will be held June 17 in Homer Glen.

The fest is hosted by Homer Township Clerk Vicki Bozen and Village of Homer Glen Trustee Rose Reynders, according to a news release. It is co-sponsored by the Village of Homer Glen, Heritage Corridor Business Alliance and Homer Township.

The inaugural fest will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on June 17 at Town Center Park, 14354 W. 151st St.

There will be kids crafts and activities, pet contests, 30 exhibitors and an exotic animal demonstration from 2 to 3 p.m. The fest will also feature a taco truck and ice cream truck, with food available for purchase.

The first 250 attendees will receive a goody bag, according to a release. Pet food donations for TLC Animal Center will also be accepted.

Animals attending the fest must be on a leash, and be up-to-date on shots.
