Learn About Martin Luther King Jr. At Lockport Library

LOCKPORT, IL — Learn about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the White Oak Library-Lockport Branch on Feb. 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The session will be held in the meeting room of the library with historian Jim Gibbons.

According to the library website, Gibbons will discuss the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., focusing on his strong nonviolent beliefs, his turbulent life and tragic death, and why the country commemorates Jan. 15 every year in his honor. Registration is required for this event.
