Live Christmas Tree Disposal Available From Homewood Disposal

HOMER GLEN, IL — If you have a live Christmas tree you are looking to dispose of, Homer Glen residents can set it out near the curb with the rest of their garbage, according to Homewood Disposal.

The waste service said Christmas tree removal is part of curbside service and trees could be set out for removal on your regularly scheduled residential trash pick-up day.

"We encourage you to dispose of your Christmas tree within first few weeks of January," the business said on its website. Even well-watered trees will dry out, and can become a fire hazard.
