Local Writer Publishes Faith Book
Pamela Palmer of Homer Glen recently self-published her first book: Living a Deeper Faith.

When Pamela Palmer of Homer Glen completed her first manuscript in 2019 with plans to self-publish it in 2020, she did not expect that her publishing timeline would be drastically different than she envisioned.
Like most of the world in early 2020, Palmer and her family experienced their lives turned upside down due to the pandemic. Immediately, Palmer decided to put her plans to publish on hold, and instead, she focused on being a mom, wife, and pastoral care giver during an unprecedented time. “I had to put publishing aside and turn my attention fully to my family and how I was going to do church ministry during a very tough time for people,” Palmer reflected.
Over two years later, Palmer’s dream to publish has become a reality. In July, she self-published her book which is titled: Living a Deeper Faith: Nurture Your Relationship with God and Live a Faith-Fueled Life. Palmer is an ordained pastor and served in hospital chaplaincy for 10 years before transitioning into church ministry. She oversees the care ministries at Good Shepherd Church in Naperville, IL. In her book, she shares personal stories of struggle and enduring faith that helps readers understand the power of God during whatever they face. Palmer shared, “This book is about discipleship. I wrote it to inspire people to find their way to Jesus in whatever circumstance they face and to help them find renewal and commitment in their walk with Jesus.”
