Lockport Approves 2 Design Proposals For Utility Improvements
One proposal was for $112,000, the second was for $105,000.
LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport City Council approved two proposals for designs of planned utility projects in the City, at its Wednesday meeting.
The first proposal, for $112,000, is from Chamlin & Associates for the Archer Avenue, Maryknoll Drive and 151st Street utility corridor.
This project will include the installation of a new lift station at Archer and 151st, according to Council documents. New watermain will also be installed along Archer from Maryknoll to 151st.

The construction for this project would be done in phases.
"As all of these utilities and utilities City-wide are interconnected, the design should be completed in one phase to ensure optimal functionality for the region," Council documents state.

The second proposal, also from Chamlin & Associates, was at a cost of $105,000 for the design of the Bruce Road and SOS Children's Village utility improvement project.
This project would also include a new lift station, and new water main.
Council documents note that this project is a candidate for future grant funding, and having the design finished will help improve chances for funding.
