Lockport Approves Design Proposal For New Municipal Parking Lot

LOCKPORT, IL — At its Wednesday meeting, the Lockport City Council approved a proposal for design engineering for a new municipal parking lot at Commerce and 11th streets.

The proposal is with V3 Companies for a cost of $73,500.

According to Council documents, the parking lot will be at the northeast corner of Commerce and 11th streets. The design will include the parking lot, streetscape enhancements, pavement markings, a new sidewalk along 11th street and lighting.

$75,000 has been budgeted for engineering, and $500,000 budgeted for construction and construction engineering, according to Council documents.
