LOCKPORT, IL — As part of the city's facade and site improvement grant program, the Lockport City Council has approved a grant request from Dellwood Tire. Dellwood Tire, 616 S. State St., requested funds through the city's program for the replacement of its front window and awning with frame, according to council documents.

The business received three bids for the projects, with the lowest bid for $19,525. According to council documents, the grant programs allows for a 50 percent match up to $20,000 per facade and $10,000 for site improvements with a maximum of $50,000 per property. So, Dellwood Tire is eligible for $9,762.50 from the city.

Dellwood Tire is a family-owned shop started in 1948, according to council documents. The business offers auto repairs for trucks and passenger vehicles.
