Lockport Approves Lease Transfer For IDNR Property
The transfer will allow the City to pursue more grant opportunities for the property.
LOCKPORT, IL — At its Wednesday meeting, the Lockport City Council approved a lease transfer for the IDNR property along the I&M Canal in Lockport to transfer to the City.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has asked the City to take over the lease on the property, as the city has more opportunities to partner with other agencies for future improvements and grants, according to council documents.
