Lockport Bar Burglarized, Gaming Machines Damaged: Sheriff

HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — A business in Lockport was burglarized, and a "suspicious incident" was reported in Homer Glen early Tuesday, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said deputies were called to Lenny's Gas N' Wash, 15930 W. 159th St., at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday for a suspicious incident.

Police said that during the incident, a dark-colored sedan pulled into the parking lot and five masked individuals were in the car. The car circled the lot, and left westbound on 159th Street.

A security guard at the gas station called in the suspicious car, police said.

The sheriff's office said that a few minutes later, Rocco's Pub in Lockport was burglarized and the gaming machines were damaged.

Lockport Police said it received a call at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday for a possible burglary in progress at Rocco's Pub, 16716 W. 159th St.

The caller told police he saw four people trying to break into the business using a crowbar. There was a dark vehicle parked in the parking lot, and it looked to be running with the lights on.

Lockport officers and a sheriff's deputy arrived and found a window that had been pried open. The suspects were already gone when the officers arrived, police said.

Officers found damage to three gaming machines. Police said the amount of damage to the machines and any monetary loss is not known at this time.

"The Lockport Police Department Investigations Divisions is continuing to follow up on the incident in cooperation with several area law enforcement agencies," police said.
