Once the official notice of intent is approved at a later meeting, the agreement will be terminated in 2030.

LOCKPORT, IL — At its Committee of the Whole meeting on Wednesday, the Lockport City Council discusses the City's intention to terminate an agreement with the Village of Homer Glen for waste water services in 2030.

The Council did not take action on this item, only discussed the official notice of intent.

"I think it's in line with [Homer Glen's] goals that they've shared with us," Streit said.

Lockport and Homer Glen entered into an intergovernmental agreement for waste water service in 2018. According to Council documents, the agreement came after a request for support of Homer Glen development east of Gougar Road and north of 159th Street.
