Lockport Holds Online Composter Sale

The city is providing a 50 percent subsidy of composters for city residents only, limited to one composter per household.

LOCKPORT, IL — The City of Lockport has partnered with Upcycle Products, Inc., and the Conservation Foundation to hold an online sale for composters through Sept. 9.

The city is providing a 50 percent subsidy of composters for city residents only, limited to one composter per household. Composters must be purchased through the sales event to receive the subsidy, the city said.

Composters are containers that can be used for organic waste, and which will turn into compost over time. Items purchased through the sales event can be picked up Sept. 13 through Sept. 17 at Lockport Public Works and Engineering Department, 17112 Prime Boulevard.
