Lockport Library Plans Beer Tasting, Commemorates Anniversary
The library has partnered with Nik & Ivy to create the Library Tale Pale Ale, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the library.
LOCKPORT, IL — The White Oak Library District - Lockport branch will host a beer tasting event on Jan. 18, in partnership with Nik & Ivy.
The event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lockport branch, 121 E. Eighth St., with former professional brewer and master beer judge Michael Pezan. According to the library website, the event is for those 21 years or older, and IDs will be checked at the door.

The beginnings of the library started in 1922, when the Lockport Woman's Club started a volunteer library, according to the library website.
