Lockport Man Charged With Possession Of Child Sexual Abuse Material: Sheriff
The sheriff's office said the investigation started nine months ago, when detectives were notified by an online tip.

LOCKPORT, IL — A 21-year-old Lockport man has been arrested and charged with possession of child sex abuse material after a nine-month-long investigation, the Will County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Gabriel Lopez, of Lockport, was arrested and charged Monday with three felony counts of child sexual abuse material.
The sheriff's office said the investigation started nine months ago, when detectives with the Will County Sheriff's Office were notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children from an Internet Crimes Against Children Cybertip from September 2023 from Google.

After investigation, detectives spoke with Lopez at his Lockport home, and he confessed that the information from the tip was him and that he had child sexual abuse material on his phone, according to the sheriff's office.
A warrant was issued for Lopez on Monday, and detectives took him into custody at his home without incident, the sheriff's office said. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, where he's being held until his next court hearing.
