Lockport Man Spit On Joliet Police During Arrest: Cops
Gram is accused of making at least 100 threatening phone calls and Facebook messages to his ex-girlfriend.

JOLIET, IL - A Lockport resident John Gram finds himself in the custody of the Will County Jail after Joliet Police say he spit on two officers after they found the 25-year-old hiding in a cornfield. The police were looking for Gram because they say he made at least 100 phone calls and Facebook messages to his ex-girlfriend and many were threatening violence to her.
Joliet Police arrested Gram this week on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer and harassment through electronic communications. On Monday morning, shortly before 7 a.m., Joliet Police got called to the 3700 block of Thoroughbred Lane, which is near Old Renwick Road.
"Upon arrival, the victim stated she broke up with her boyfriend, Gram, and since last night that she has received approximately 100 calls and Facebook messages from Gram," police reports show.

On Tuesday, jail logs indicate, the Joliet Police found Gram in the 3200 block of Norman Avenue, which is near Essington Road. Once he realized the police were after him, Gram tried to hide and then he became combative and disrespectful toward the officers, police reports indicate.
"A subject matching Gram's description ran from the officers into a nearby corn field. Gram was eventually located hiding in the field and taken into custody. Gram spat on two officers while being taken into custody," police said.
Gram remained in the Will County lockup on Thursday where jail logs indicate the Lockport man is also being held on a parole violation.
