Lockport PD Makes DUI Arrest During Fourth Of July Enforcement

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Police Department has released arrests and citations made during the Independence Day enforcement. Police said they made one impaired driving arrest and also issued 13 seatbelt citations during the Fourth of July ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ and ‘Click It or Ticket’ safety campaigns.
During the campaign, Lockport Police issued:
- 3 electronic communication device citations
- 13 seat belt citations
- 1 DUI arrest
- 1 uninsured motorist
- 10 other moving/equipment violation
- 7 speeding citations
Lockport Police said it joined forces with more than 160 other state and local law enforcement agencies conducting the crackdown, which featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities including a media campaign.
