Lockport Plans Auction For Adirondack Chairs
The Summer Art Series committee will hold the auction at the final Cruisin' Into Lockport car show.

LOCKPORT, IL — For those who admired the Adirondack chairs seen around town this summer, several will be auctioned off on Aug. 26. The city said the Summer Art Series committee will hold the auction at the final Cruisin' Into Lockport car show at Central Square, 222 E. Ninth St.
The city said the chairs were assembled by Trinity Services, Inc. and decorated by different sponsoring businesses. Chairs included in the auction will be displayed at the car show starting at 4 p.m. Each chair will have a clipboard attached with starting bids listed at $50. Written bids can be submitted in increments of $10 in excess of $50 until bidding is closed at 8 p.m.
Winners will be announced at 8:30 p.m. after the band closes out the show, the city said.

Winners must see Jodi Herman with the City of Lockport after being announced. Payment must be made in advance, before receiving the chair, which must be taken home that night or picked up at Central Square the next day on Aug. 27, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
