Lockport Plans World War II Days
The event includes a food court, beer garden, a battle demo and entertainment.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township Park District will host the city's annual World War II days at Dellwood Park on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9. The event includes a food court, beer garden, a battle demo and entertainment. According to the park district, the schedule is:
Saturday, Sept. 8
- 9:30 a.m. - Park opens
- 10:15 a.m. - The Tonetts (Big band songs of the 40s)
- 11:30 a.m. - Battle
- 1 p.m. - Sweet Reminder (Cover 50s and 60s classics)
- 3 p.m. - Battle, Field Hospital demo at German camps following battle
- 4 p.m. - Music and dance lessons of the era
- 6:30 p.m. - Vietnam bridge skirmish
- 8 p.m. - USO Show featuring The Ron Burgundys
- 10:30 p.m. - Park closes
