Lockport Police Plan Labor Day Enforcement Campaign
The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over"campaign runs from Friday through the early morning hours of Sept. 7.
LOCKPORT, IL — As Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer approaches, the Lockport Police Department will partner with law enforcement through Illinois for an enforcement campaign.
The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over"campaign runs from Friday through the early morning hours of Sept. 7. During this period, motorists in Lockport can expect to see stepped-up impaired driving patrols and seat-belt enforcement, particularly at night when seat-belt usage rates are at their lowest, according to police. Speeders and distracted drivers should also be aware.
The Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign is made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
